Beloved faithful,

Tomorrow, August 15th, we will celebrate one of the greatest feasts of our Church, the Dormition of the Mother of God, a moment of profound reverence and theological reflection.

I invite you all to gather in church to honor the Most Holy Theotokos, who, though she fell asleep in the flesh, was taken up body and soul into heaven, thus becoming our model and intercessor before the heavenly throne.

The liturgical program will begin at 10:00 AM with the Matins service, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:30 AM, during which we will partake of the Body and Blood of Christ, thereby receiving the saving grace.

At the conclusion of the services, we will also conduct the memorial service for the departed, uniting our prayers with those of the Mother of God for the souls of those who have passed away. This feast reminds us of the profound essence of our Orthodox teachings, which speak of death not as an end, but as a passage, a transition from the temporal to the eternal.

The Mother of God, in her perfect humility and obedience, shows us the way to salvation, being our intercessor before God. We warmly invite you to these services, to strengthen our faith and receive the heavenly blessings through the prayers of the Mother of God.
